Non-Fiction Texts

Posters and Recipes

During the 3rd nine weeks we learned about non-fiction (informational) texts.  We learned that we can learn from non-fiction books, posters, recipes, maps, etc.  We sorted books, cut out and sorted pictures of books from the scholastic book orders, and even made our own informational texts!

Here are a couple of the lost posters they made for their lunchboxes and jackets.  They did a great job!

The next informational text we talked about were recipes.  They got a chance to write their own recipes.....and I realized we needed a little more experience with recipes (after reading their own) so we made Rice Krispies by looking at a recipe!

We all agreed they were delicious!
