Fairytales

This week we have been reading lots of fairytales: Cinderella, Jack and the Baked Bean Stalk, The Princess and the Pig, and many more.  This unit will continue into next week too!  We are practicing retelling the story, figuring out the problem, setting, characters, along with introducing the different elements of fairytales:  good vs. evil, special beginnings, royalty, magic, etc.  

The students loved making their watercolor resist castles!
