Six Sweet Slimy Snails

Snail Week:

In our current science kit we are learning about the basic needs of animals, their body parts and body covering, how to handle live animals safely, and so much more!  Here is a preview of our snail week.

Tuesday:  We learned how to safely care for our snails.  We made posters to remind us how to treat them and take care of them.  

Wednesday:  We observed the snails closely to look at their body parts.  Our friends loved touching the snails!  We then recorded the structure of a snail in our science notebook.

Thursday:  We learned about what snails need!  We learned they need food, water, and air, and that their shelter is their shell.

Friday: SNAIL RACES!
